Food & Dining

Food made close to home

Meals at Libélula are shared in our open-air kitchen and dining space, surrounded by gardens and views of the rainforest.

We grow food here ourselves and are continually expanding the gardens, with the long-term goal of growing as much of what we use as possible.

We cook fresh, nourishing food using ingredients from our gardens alongside organic and locally sourced produce.

The open-air kitchen and dining space, looking out over the rainforest
A papaya cut open in the garden
Fresh ginger root, just dug up
A bunch of bananas from the land
Kale picked in the garden
A colourful plate with avocado, purple sweet potato and flowers
A salad of greens and edible flowers
A breakfast bowl with fruit and flowers
Fruit dressed with fresh flowers
Oranges from the land, cut in half

And then there’s the part that can’t really be planned: the conversations.

Some of the best moments of a retreat happen around a table, when everyone has finished eating and nobody is quite ready to get up.
